Creating Positive Relationships (CPR) is a Human Sexuality curriculum developed to build character in young people, empowering them to develop healthy relationships, benefitting their communities and society. The curriculum focuses on teaching students the basics of puberty and sexually transmitted infections (STI’s); personal relationships; physical, emotional, social, and mental health; love vs. crush; and media/technology impact on relationships. This year, the Creating Positive Relationships curriculum will be taught by SCI’s physical education teachers to all in-person 6th grade students during PE rotation prior to spring break.
For our families who have chosen to remain virtual, or for those students who opted out of the program, the following resources are being made available to participate in the Creating Positive Relationships curriculum:
Note that our in-person students will be involved with the curriculum during the month of March at SCI. Depending on which rotation your child has PE, there will not be synchronous PE class on those days due to in-person CPR instruction:
  • Rotation S: March 8-11
  • Rotation C: March 16-18
  • Rotation I: March 22-25
Should you have questions or concerns about CPR, please contact your child’s PE teacher for more information.

Dear Virtual Learners,
I want to apologize.  Our Body Safety Program sent us the wrong password for you to view the video. The new password is ICPYAS0221.
I am sorry for the inconvenience.  Thank you for your patience.

Dear SCI families.
Each school year, all students in grades K-12 must receive education on child abuse prevention per Indiana code 20-19-3-11.  HSE students are receiving this education through a curriculum created by Child Lures/Teen Lures Prevention.  This curriculum focuses on how children can keep themselves safe. Our in-person students will be involved with a presenter via Zoom while the classroom teacher is also supporting in the room.
SCI in person students will participate in this program on Monday, March 1, 2021.  Virtual Students will NOT attend class during the times below.
  • 5th - 8:40-9:15 am
  • 6th grade - 10:00-10:35
The link below is being provided to families of our Virtual Only learners to participate in this curriculum with a parent/guardian at time convenient for you. Note this is a pre-recorded video not a Zoom session.  Please contact our office should you have any questions.
